Kang-Won Wayne Lee is a faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CVE) and RITRC Director at URI. He worked as CVE Director of Graduate Studies from 1996 to 1999 and served as Chairperson from 2005 to 2008. He also served as Chairman of the URI Research Council from 1990 to 1991, and a URI Faculty Senate Executive Committee member from 1992 to 1994. In 1992, Prof. Lee established the RITRC, the recipient of a $12 million research grant under the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA21) in 1998 and served as R&D Director for the URI Transportation Center (TC) Grant Program from 1999 to 2003. He also has been working with the consortium of University of Maine and received USDOT Region 1 UTC – Transpiration Infrastructure Durability Center grant ($14.7M) in 2018. Prof. Lee earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University in 1974. During his college years, he served in the Korean Army for three years. Following two years of consulting work as a civil engineer for Lyon Associates and TAMS Inc., he returned to academia and earned his M.S. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Rutgers Univ. in 1978. After briefly working as a highway construction inspector for the NJ Department of Transportation (DOT), he continued his post-graduate education and received his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. He assisted Late Prof. Thomas W. Kennedy who developed Superpave asphalt mix-design during and after his doctoral program. He began his higher education teaching career at the King Saud University in 1982 and joined the URI faculty in 1985. Prof Lee’s research interests are focused on Intelligent Transportation Infrastructure and Systems (ITIS), Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy. He is a founding member of the New England University Transportation Center (NEUTC) at MIT and the New England Transportation Consortium (NETC). He also initiated a joint research program between URI and RIDOT in 1986. He is a founder of the Bituminous Materials Committee (BMC) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and served as chair for 1999-01. He has been a member of Pavement Committee, an ETG for the LTPP Data Analysis Contest, and currently serves as a paper reviewer for Journal of Transportation Engineering and Journal of Civil Engineering Materials. He served as President of the RI Section for 2006-07 and has been elected as an ASCE Fellow in 2008. Prof. Lee was member of several committees of Transportation Research Board (TRB) including AFK40 and AHD25, and currently is a member of AKG90 - Stabilization of Geomaterials and Recycled Materials, AKM30 – Asphalt Materials Selection and Mix Design, and AKT30 – Pavement Maintenance. Other professional memberships include ASTM, AAPT, ITE, and ASEE. He serves as a paper reviewer for the TRR, Journal of AAPT, ASTM Journal of Geotechnical Engineering., ARR, and other technical publications and conferences.

Roger is Emeritus Professor of Water Engineering in the School of Engineering at Cardiff University; Chair Professor at Hohai University and the Yangtze Institute for Conservation and Development, China; and an Independent Waterand Environmental Engineering Consultant. He graduated from Imperial College with a PhD in 1976, followed by posts at the universities of Birmingham (1977-86),Bradford (1987-97), and Cardiff (Professor 1997-18). He has managed a wide range of research projects on hydro-environmental modelling and has been involved in over 100 EIAstudies worldwide. He has published extensively in the field of hydro-environmental engineering, advises governments and consulting companies internationally on water security topics,and regularly gives lecturesand participates in media and TV interviews on various topics, including water security.He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering,a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences. He was President of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering &Research(2011-15).

Mr. Xianting Li is a full professor at Dept. of Building Science, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), and Head of Dept. of Building Science. He got his PhD degree in 1995 at Tsinghua University. He is now the President of E1 Commission, International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR); editorial board member of Energy and Buildings, Indoor and Built Environment, International Journal of Ventilation, Journal of Building Engineering etc.; a fellow of International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ) and fellow of International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). Since 1995, Dr. Li has been the PI or Co-PI for more than 90 sponsored research projects. Dr Li’s research interest includes: (1) Demand-oriented non-uniform indoor environment; (2) Energy-efficient air-conditioning and heat pump system; (3) Efficient utilization of natural energy for cooling and heating. Up to now, Dr. Li has published 8 books or chapters in book (3 are in English), 200 peer-reviewed journal papers in English, 100 journal papers in Chinese, 60 conference papers in English. He holds 70 Chinese patents.

Dr. Constantinos Sioutas, Sc.D., is the first holder of the Fred Champion Professorship in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), starting in 2006, and the director of the University of Southern California Aerosol Laboratory at the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Utilizing an integrated approach in his research, over the past twenty-five years Dr. Sioutas has generated a well-publicized body of work demonstrating the significant effects that particulate air pollution has on human health and the environment. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), outdoor particulate air pollution is estimated to cause roughly 4 million premature deaths worldwide, making it the sixth non-injury related cause of mortality globally. Dr. Sioutas’ research has focused on investigations of the underlying mechanisms that produce the health effects associated with exposure to particulate air pollutants that are generated by a variety of combustion sources, most notably traffic (including light- and heavy-duty vehicles, natural gas buses and biodiesel vehicles), harbor and airport operations and power plants, as well as the degree to which photochemical processing of these emissions alters these particles’ physical, chemical and toxicological properties. A unique aspect of Dr. Sioutas’ research has been his use of feedback from ongoing biological and toxicological in vivo, in vitro, epidemiological and risk assessment research studies that use combustion-generated aerosols in order to identify strategies that would reduce health risks. Such information is crucial in implementing effective control strategies and environmental regulations that would reduce public exposure to toxic particulate pollutants and, the enforcement of which, in fact, has led to improvements in air quality. His research activities have been recognized internationally, resulting in a number of collaborations studying the characterization as well as the health and environmental effects of particulate air pollution across the globe.

Hen Friman holds Ph.D. and Master's degrees from Bar-Ilan University. His master's thesis investigated the effect of Cyt1Aa on prokaryotes, and his Ph.D. research focused on energy production from aromatic chemical degradation of bacteria Using "Bio-Fuel Cells". Since 2012, Dr. Friman is research and lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering. He is currently the academic director at the Renewable Energy & Smart Grid Excellence Center at the HIT - Holon Institute of Technology. Dr. Friman developed an innovative teaching method for a "paperless" laboratory in the field of solar, wind, and water energy. He also managed the "Energy Supervisor" training program at HIT. He was part of the team responsible for developing "Pre-Project and Developing Soft Skills for Engineers" for the undergrad B.Sc. students. The purpose of the course is to define and improve the "toolbox courses" that will provide students with employability skills - Teamwork, effective management of time, risk and quality control, design excellence, and presentation excellence Dr. Friman's research interests include renewable energy, fuel cells, microbial fuel cells, water and wastewater treatment, chemical engineering, ecological education, and academic collaboration.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010, 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB.ProfessorMorais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered more than 150 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With nearly 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals and 15 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top 1% scientists, such as 2020-Stanford and 2022-Research.com.

Currently, a fellow of ASME, ASCE, EMI and HKIE, Ir Professor Lim received a B.Eng. from University of Technology of Malaysia, M.Eng. and PhD from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, respectively. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at The University of Queensland and The University of Hong Kong. He is also a visiting professor at various universities worldwide. He has expertise in theory of plates and shells, dynamics of smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, metamaterials and symplectic elasticity. He is currently the subject editor for Journal of Sound and Vibration, joint-editor for Journal of Mechanics of Material and Structures, subject editor for Applied Mathematical Modelling, Managing Editor (Asia-Pacific Region) for Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies, Associate Editor for International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, etc. and also on the editorial board of some other top-ranked international journals. He has published one very well-selling title entitled “Symplectic Elasticity”, co-authored with W.A. Yao and W.X. Zhong from Dalian University of Technology, as recorded by the publisher, World Scientific, in Engineering Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. He has published more than 350 international journal papers and have more than 12,000 citations. Recently Professor Lim was awarded the prestigious 2020 JN Reddy Medal as a recognition “for significant and original contributions to vibration of plates and shells, smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, and symplectic elasticity”. He was also previously awarded Top Referees in 2009, Proceedings A, The Royal Society. Professor Lim is a registered professional engineer in Hong Kong.

Weidong Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and the founder and director of its Dynamic Systems and Vibrations Laboratory and Laser Vibrometry and Optical Measurement Laboratory. He received his double major BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1986, and his MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and the University of California at Berkeley in 1988 and 1994, respectively. He is a recipient of the 2004 National Science Foundation CAREER Award. He has been an ASME Fellow since 2010, and has served as an Associate Editor of the ASME Journal of Vibration and Acoustics and the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, and as a Subject Editor of the Journal of Sound and Vibration and Nonlinear Dynamics. His research spans the fields of dynamics, vibration, control, applied mechanics, metamaterials, structural health monitoring, and renewable energy, and involves analytical development, numerical simulation, experimental validation, and industrial application. He has published 308 SCI-indexed journal papers in these areas and has eight issued U.S. patents. He received 14 best paper awards from the ASME and Society of Experimental Mechanics. He is a recipient of the 2020 University System of Maryland Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Research.

Mark is a Research Prof. at Mechanical Eng., Clarkson U, Potsdam NY, RD Manager of DFIE, Inc., Honorary Member of Building Enclosure Technology and Environment (BETEC) Committee of the National Institute of Building Science (NIBS) in Washington, DC. He worked at National Research Council of Canada (1975-2000) and was an Editor-in-Chief of J. Building Physics (1984-2018) He works in the US and Europe. He was teaching in, the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Poland and China. He received the highest awards in building physics in the US and Canada. His research background includesheat, air andmoisture, material science and durability of construction materials. He wrote more than 220 peerreviewed papers and 7books, has 60,000 readson the Research Gate.

Paul Grunow has completed his Ph.D at the age of 30 years from Technical University Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and postdoctoral studies from the COPPE/UFRJ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the general manager of Trinity Solarbeteiligungen GmbH, an investment company in renewable energies. Before, he co-founded three companies in the area of photovoltaics based in Berlin, i.e. Solon, Q-Cells, PI Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin. He has published more than 12 papers in reputed journals.

Prof. Dr. Kay Pfaffenberger (born 1965) holds a Master in Economic Sciences from Leibniz University Hannover and a PhD in Business and Administration from the University of Leipzig. He started his career as a consultant at the S-­‐Kommunal Beratung in Hannover. As head of department he developed and managed electronic banking services at the Cooperative Bank Bremen­Nord. Furthermore he has been consultant for company communication at CardProcess GmbH, Frankfurt. 2009 he founded the Institute for Communication, Finance and Good Governance. Since 2008 he has been teaching as visiting lecturer for different Universities, e.g. Bremen, Berlin and Hamburg. In 2012 Kay Pfaffenberger has been appointed as a Professor for Business Administration at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. Also he is the managing director of the Center for Business and Technology in Africa (CBTA). The main focus of his work is lecturing and applied research on business administration and political economics with special focus on business in Africa and inter-­‐cultural-­‐communication, banking and finance, good governance and renewable energy. In these fields he has supported cooperative banks especially in transaction banking with strong relations to DZ Bank. He has a wide experience with projects in the financial sector and recently with solar industry respective renewable energy companies in West Africa. Sustainable development and green energy are also his focus. The CBTA held an online conference last year about Green Hydrogen cooperation possibilities between Africa and Europe.

Alan McGowan is currently a Lecturer at The New School, having served as chair of the science program and then of the environmental studies program. He stepped down to adjunct status from Associate Professor in 2016. He is an Executive Editor of Environment magazine and chairman of the Legal and Governance Committee of the board of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences. He was selected as 2019’s Top Science and Technical Expert by the International Association of Top Professionals, and also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who that same year. Prior to this he was for twenty years President of the Scientists’ Institute for Public Information, a major bridge between the science and media communities. He then founded and ran the Gene Media Forum, a similar bridge focusing on genetics. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where he was also Director of Public Understanding of Science Programs. He has published over one hundred articles in both peer reviewed and popular journals, and over one hundred editorials for Environment magazine.

Khalida Muda is an accomplished academic who completed her PhD at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2010. With over 20 years of experience as a Professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering at UTM, she has become a renowned expert in the field of biological wastewater treatment. Her research focuses on the bio-granulation system for treating both domestic and industrial wastewater. In addition, Professor Muda has been actively involved in the study of biocementation, exploring its potential applications and its impact on the environment. She has published over 50 papers in reputed journals and has also served as an editorial board member for various local and international publications. Her contributions to the field of civil engineering have earned her a well-deserved reputation as a respected authority and mentor in her field. In her research on biocementation, Professor Muda has been exploring the potential of using native microbes from waste materials and wastewater to stimulate the precipitation of minerals. By harnessing the power of these microorganisms, she aims to develop an eco-friendlier approach to soil improvement that reduces the reliance on traditional pyro-processing technology for cementitious materials. Moreover, Professor Muda recognizes the importance of addressing the environmental challenges associated with biocementation. She is actively investigating ways to properly treat the effluents from biocementation columns to prevent environmental pollution and contamination of nearby water bodies. Her efforts in this regard are critical to ensuring the sustainable and responsible use of biocementation for real-world applications. Through her research, she is advancing our understanding of this innovative technique and contributing to the development of more effective and environmentally responsible solutions for soil improvement.

Ilaria Venanzi is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of University of Perugia in Italy where she is Chair of the Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Dr. Venanzi has taught several courses of structural design and she has conducted research in Structural Health Monitoring, performance-based design, structural control, structural optimization, wind engineering and has published extensively in the area of structural engineering. She received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in 2006 and she was post-doc and assistant Professor at University of Perugia. She has been visiting researcher at the Columbia University in New York and has developed international scientific collaborations with several institutions among which the NIST at Washington D.C., the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, the Northeastern University in Boston, the Iowa State University. Dr. Venanzi is representative for University of Perugia in the Fabre Consortium, the Italian inter-university research alliance for bridge engineering and has been responsible for several funded research projects.

Chuang Feng obtained his PhD from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Now he is a full professor and the director of the Intelligent Civil Engineering Materials and Structures Lab at School of Civil Engineering in Nanjing Tech University, China. Professor Feng was among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the field of Civil Engineering in the 2022 lists compiled by Stanford University. He has published more than 60 papers in prestigious journals (i.e., ement and Concrete Composites, Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, Composite Structures, Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Building Engineering, etc.), which attract nearly 2600 google citations with h-index being 25. Particularly, one paper is selected as the Front Cover image by Polymer composites due to its novelty and high quality. By now, Professor Feng have supervised more than 25 PhD and master stuents in total (research-based), who have published highly quality papers in prestigious journal and received honors and scholarships for visiting world-class universities (i.e., University of Manchester and Nanyang Technological University). Professor Feng has been invited to give plenary/keynote presentations and serve as session chair by a number of international conferences. He is now the board member of Nano Materials Science (IF=9.9) and Buildings (IF=3.8) and long-term reviewer for more than 60 international journals.

Dr. Anoop S. Mokha engineering career has spanned from basic research on Friction Pendulum bearings to its implementation in important and critical industrial, bridge, and building structures worldwide. As Vice President of EPS, since 1999, Dr. Mokha has worked closely with Clients, Engineers, Architects, and Contractors for successful and cost-effective implementation of ‘Continued-Functionality” design with Friction Pendulum bearings in over 30 countries. Clients such as Apple, Samsung, Shell, Exxon, Texas Instrument, GSA, State of California, etc have realized construction cost savings of hundreds of millions of dollars with the creative and innovative seismic solutions provided by EPS. During his 10 year tenure as Structural Engineer at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, San Francisco, Dr. Mokha lead the project team for the design and implementation of Friction Pendulum bearings for the New San Francisco International Terminal building and the retrofit of the Historic Landmark Building; the U.S. Court of Appeals in San Francisco. In 1990, Anoop was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Structural Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, New York. His Ph.D. thesis supervised by Prof. Michael C. Constantinou was on the Experimental and Analytical Study of Sliding Isolation Systems with emphasis on Friction Pendulum Bearings. His doctoral qualifying examination committee included well known Professors Robert Ketter, Ian Buckle, and Andrei Reinhorn. In 1999, Anoop was awarded the prestigious “George W. Thorn” Award from the State University of New York at Buffalo in recognition for his contribution and accomplishments in implementation of Friction Pendulum seismic solutions for reducing earthquake damage. In 1985, his interest in earthquakes convinced him to join the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, the only institute in Asia then offering a graduate degree in Earthquake Engineering. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Structural Dynamics with honors and earned a research at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He received another Masters Degree in Structural Engineering in 1987. In 1983 Anoop Mokha completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the Regional Engineering College of Engineering, Nagpur, India. He received Gold Medal for standing first in all 8 semesters, the only accomplishment in the history of the Engineering College. Dr. Anoop Mokha is a Licensed Structural Engineer and Professional Engineer in the State of California. He has given numerous invited presentations and has co-authored over 100 publications in respected journals and variety of engineering conferences.

Seunghee Park is a professor in the School of Civil, Architectural Engineering & Landscape Architecture at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He served as an assistant professor at Sungkyunkwan University from March 2009, became an associate professor in April 2015, and was promoted to full professor in March 2021. He is also currently the CEO of Smart Inside AI Co., Ltd. He received his Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2008. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at KAIST from February to September 2008. He also worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Center of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, Department of Mechanical Engineering, at Virginia Tech, Virginia, USA, from October 2008 to February 2009. He was a visiting professor at the Center of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Virginia Tech, from July to August 2009.

Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics as Sustainable Geoengineering” for environmental modifications and resource circulations, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.

Professor Ibrahim Odeh is the Founding Director of the Global Leaders in Construction Management (GLCM) program at the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at Columbia University. He is a unique combination of a strategist, academic, innovator, and entrepreneur. His work seamlessly merges the worlds of industry and academia, spans the global construction market, and provides leading construction firms with unique market insights; growth strategies; and advice on digital transformation and technological trends that are reshaping the construction industry. Companies that Odeh collaborated or worked with from an advisory perspective, consulting role, or research collaboration effort are: World Economic Forum, Turner Construction, Skanska, Parsons, WGI Engineers, Shimizu, The Vertex Companies, Dentons, and AI Engineers. Odeh worked as an advisory committee member at the World Economic Forum on the “Future of Construction” project. In 2017, he also served for two years as an advisory board member at Financial Times - Future of Construction Summit. He sets on several advisory boards and committees such as Open Insights, AI Engineers, Group PMX, EnTech Engineering, Multi.Green, Black Buffalo, and Tough Leaf. In 2021 Odeh was also appointed as an advisory board member at the GI Hub; in support of the G20 agenda, to connect the global infrastructure community and to share insights to facilitate delivery of G20 members’ economic, social and environmental outcomes through increased and improved infrastructure. Odeh was the first professor to introduce in 2017 the first Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) to educate global learners in the area of Construction Management under Coursera platform. Since inception, the number of learners registered for Odeh’s courses reached over half a million from 190 countries with around 1,500 new learners join his courses every week! His courses ranked third globally under the business category on Coursera from several years. Last October Google integrated and added his courses with the Project Management courses offered for the Google certification. Odeh is active speaker and managed to deliver several keynote presentations in different countries globally such as the keynote talk at the 1st Smart Construction Tech & Safety Expo in Korea and similar talks in other world class events in several countries such as Dublin-Ireland, Mumbai-India, Cartagena-Colombia, and London-UK. Odeh won many awards and recognitions with the recent prestigious 2023 McGraw Hill Pathfinder Award; which is given to only top Three Inspiring Educators nationwide that recognize educators for innovative and inventive teaching and who are breaking new ground in their approach to teaching and helping learners succeed. Odeh also received the Columbia University Presidential Award for Outstanding Teaching; A top honor presented to only five recipients from nearly 1,000 nominations. He was also named Top 20 Under 40 by Engineering News Records and Top 40 Under 40 by Consulting- Specifying Engineer. Odeh received his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign as well as he holds an MBA degree.

Dr. Dai-Yeun Jeong is presently the Director of Asia Climate Change Education Center and an emeritus professor of environmental sociology at Jeju National University in South Korea. He received BA and MA degree in sociology from Korea University (South Korea), and PhD in environmental sociology from University of Queensland (Australia).He was a prof. of environmental sociology at Jeju National University (South Korea) from 1981 to 2012. Azer Kasimzade is a Professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanics Division and Founding Head “FEM based Structural Design and Analysis Laboratory”, Rector’s Counselat Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Baku, Azerbaijan. He is also teaching at the earthquake engineering graduate program of the OndokuzMayis University (OMU, Faculty of Engineering) in Turkey. He has received his PhD and DSc degrees in Structural Mechanics from Moscow Civil Engineering University, Russian Federation, Moscow, respectively in 1983 and 1991. In 1991 he was visiting scholar at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and at Princeton University, Department of Civil Engineering & Operation Research, New Jersey, USA. In the period 1992-1995 he was a professor at the Civil Engineering University, Department of Structural Mechanics. From 1978 to 1992 Kasimzade worked as Engineer, Researcher and Consulting Engineer on national and international projects related to the development, structural modelling, testing, analysis and design of offshore petrol-gas production platforms in the Soviet Union Main Research & Project Institute Gipromorneftegaz, Mingazprom. From 1995 to 2022 he was a professor at OndokuzMayis University(OMU), Turkey, and is the Head of the Structural Mechanics group.Since 2022, he is teaching at the earthquake engineering graduate program of the OMU.In 2012-2013 he was appointed NATO project director for Science for Peace and Security Project, by the NATO Emerging Security Challenges Division. In 2014-2015 Kasimzade was visiting professor at the Department of Architecture, Kobe University, Japan. In 2015 - 2022, he was chair of the commission "Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Risk", Ministry of Environment Urbanization and Climate Change, Provincial Directorate, Turkey. In October 2016 and April2023 he was the chair of the “International Congress on Advanced Earthquake Resistant Structures-AERS”(https://aers2023.com). Since 2017, he has been working as a project director in an internationally partnered project on " New Structural Seismic Isolation System for Highly Reliable Structures ". His professional expertise encompasses: structural dynamics, earthquake resistant design, earthquake protection, structural control (structural seismic isolation);finite element (FEM) modelling, system identification, health monitoring, FEM calibration. He is a member of several national and international professional societies and advisory committees, the recipient many projects and science awards, the author of monographs, books and lots of papers on structural modelling, earthquake engineering, seismic isolation, modal testing, finite element calibration and system identification.

She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney in 1996, Australia; a BS, and an MS from Middle East Technical University (1988 & 1989) in Turkey in Environmental Engineering. In higher education, she was the founder and chair of master programs in environmental engineering (MSc in Environmental Engineering 2012-2020, MSc Minor Degree in Environmental Engineering 2000-2011) and founder and director of the Environmental Engineering and Water Quality Laboratories at the University of Balamand (2012-2020, 2000-2011), Lebanon. In the field of consulting, Professor El-Hoz is the founder and CEO of the Environmental Engineering Consulting Office from 2002 to present. She provides sustainable solutions to environmental issues to policymakers, communities, and companies and for many policies and projects funded by the World Bank, USAID, European Union, and UNDP since 1998. Moreover, she was the project manager, consultant, adviser, coordinator for different environmental projects and plans, and trainer in workshops on water, solid waste, and air quality. Her academic and technical works have been recognized internationally. She has published numerous research papers that scholars from all over the world have cited. She received many awards at international conferences, including Solid Waste Management and Technology (USA and India) and Environmental Science and Technology (USA). She has been invited as a keynote speaker at many national and international conferences. Dr. Zainah Ibrahim is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She received her Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Middlesex University, UK; Master Degree in Structural Engineering from Liverpool University, UK, and obtained her Ph.D. in the field of Structural Engineering from Sheffield University, UK. She has over 20 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research interests include structural dynamics, structural health monitoring, nonlinear dynamic system identification, structural vibration and control, repair and strengthening of existing concrete structures, and concrete materials.

Dr.Biao HU is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University, P.R. China. He obtained his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kongin 2017. His main research focuses on composite materials & structures, structural retrofitting, and sustainable construction materials. He has published more than40 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings (including 41 SCI papers), and these worksreceived more than 830 citations recorded in Google Scholar. Dr. Xing Zheng Wu is currently working as an associate professor in the civil engineering department of Hebei University in Baoding, China. His research interests focus on stability analysis of geostructures, numerical modelling of soil structure interaction, coastal cliff-beach erosion and hydraulic structures, flood risk mitigation measures, uncertainty quantification and reliability analysis in geotechnical and coastal engineering. Dr. Ibrahim Abotaleb is an associate professor of construction engineering at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Abotaleb has taught courses in areas such as construction methods and technology, risk management, numerical analysis, value engineering, construction equipment, lean construction, engineering economics, as well as simulation and optimization.
